Location: Lexington, KY
The Department of Entomology at University of Kentucky is seeking a Laboratory Technician Senior to assist with operations in an insect physiology and genetics lab. The primary responsibilities of the laboratory technician senior include fly rearing, setting up experiments, data collection, and general laboratory maintenance. The technician will also serve as the de facto lab manager and be responsible for inventory management, ordering supplies, and working with the principal investigator to ensure the lab is compliant with University and Federal regulations. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work towards an advanced degree in Entomology while serving as the technician, if desired.
