Location: Lexington, KY

This 12-month Lecturer Title Series (non-tenure eligible, Lecturer Rank) faculty position will provide
instruction and academic service in support of the undergraduate student internship program and career development initiatives within the interdepartmental Equine Science and Management (ESMA) degree program in the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. This position will also provide support for career development initiatives within Agricultural Economics (est. 5-10%). The academic home for our new colleague is Agricultural Economics. These objectives will be achieved through teaching, academic and career advising, as well as equine industry and stakeholder engagement. As part of the internship and engagement process, our colleague will collaborate with faculty and staff in UK Ag Equine Programs and other academic units along and with equine industry professionals to build opportunities for internships, student activities, and career placement. Our colleague will work closely with the college’s Senior Associate Dean and the Center for Student Success to provide instruction, leadership and management of the college-required course, AFE 100 Issues in Agriculture, Food and Environment. The anticipated annual distribution of effort is 85-90% instruction and 10-15% service.
