Location: Lexington, KY
The College of Agriculture, Food and Environment department of Plant & Soil Sciences seeks a Research Scientist. This is a Research position in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences that will conduct research on biological control agents for management of insect and disease pests of hemp and vegetable crops. The position will also provide routine scouting of greenhouse and field plots to identify emerging pest threats, conduct statistical analysis of greenhouse and field data, and write and submit research publications. This position strongly prefers a Master’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology or a related field. Experience in experimental design, statistical analysis, field scouting, and molecular diagnostics is desired.
