Scientist II
Location: Lexington, KY
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, UK Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL) seeks a Scientist II. Under direction of the Head of Diagnostic Microbiology, this position will participate in a next-generation sequencing lab as an extension of the existing Molecular Biology Laboratory Section. The purpose of the laboratory is to conduct NGS research, as well as develop and validate diagnostic testing methods to offer to laboratory clients. Research activities may include: Sample management, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR amplification, NGS library preparation, sequencing, etc.
