Engineer Associate

Location: Lexington, KY

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering seeks an Engineer Associate. This position is the point of contact for faculty, staff, and graduate students for projects related to bioprocessing, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. This person oversees and recommends laboratory protocols for faculty, staff, and students on research projects related to fermentation, protein/enzyme assays, and biomass conversion using laboratory equipment (GC, HPLC, NIR, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc.). Assist with troubleshooting experiments. The Engineer Associate will work with rural and agricultural businesses to make energy efficiency and/or renewable energy generation improvements. This is a fully grant funded position.
