The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment’s Animal and Food Science department is seeking an Extension Associate to be located at the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center in Princeton, KY.

The Extension Associate will provide technical assistance, develop educational materials, and coordinate education and outreach programs for the Beef Cattle Extension Team.

Responsibilities include:

• planning and organizing educational programs developed by the Beef Extension Team for beef cattle producers, county extension agents, and other clientele as needed
• assist beef extension personnel with planning and implementation of field demonstrations, and on-farm visits to beef cattle producers
• data entry into electronic systems, including spreadsheets and record keeping software
• Assist with development of program evaluations and reports

Aid with formatting and editing of extension publications including monthly newsletters, numbered extension publications, and social media posts.
