Location: Lexington, KY
The Research Analyst position in the Agriculture and Environmental Informatics Laboratory, funded by the University of Kentucky Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, will join Dr. Mizuta’s ongoing collaborative projects with a diverse range of stakeholders, including farmers, crop consultants, scientists from other research institutions, industries, and government agencies. The selected candidate will also be encouraged to develop their own research project with Dr. Mizuta’s guidance. Specific areas include but not limited to the precision agriculture, digital soil mapping, geospatial modeling and soil health research. If you are passionate about using big data and (geo)computational analysis to address complex challenges at the intersection of agriculture and the environment (forestry, geography, water, climate), we encourage you to apply.
